Willie Lee Blackburn

Willie Lee Blackburn, age 78, of Whiteville, NC passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Columbus Regional Healthcare.  Willie was born on February 2, 1945 in Bladen County to the late James Blackburn and Louise Smith Blackburn.

He worked in everything from farming to electrician over the years.

He is survived by his wife; Marie Babson Blackburn, a grandson; Mathew Ward (Kaitlyn) of Whiteville, and two great grandchildren; Harper Ward and Ella Ward.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the McKenzie Mortuary Chapel with Dr. Darrin Moore officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 1:45 pm prior to the service.
