William Slusarczyk Obituary

William ‘Bill/Kelly’ Slusarczyk, 92 of Ohioville, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, February 28th 2023, at Columbus Regional Healthcare, Whiteville, NC.

Born April 3, 1930 in Centerville, PA, he was a son of the late George and Martha Slusarczyk. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Lavina ‘Jane’; his sister Catherine ‘Katie’ Spewock; and a brother Thomas. Bill was a professional electrical engineer, having worked for Crucible Steel, followed by J&L Steel for over 35 years. He also was an active member of the Korean Vets Association, as well as, a member of the Fairview Grange No. 1351, and the Midland VFW. After residing in both Ohioville, PA and Phoenix, AZ, Bill had spent his last 3 years, with his family in North Carolina.

An extremely skilled woodworker, proud Korean Vet, avid reader, fisherman, cross-stitcher, Steeler, Penguin and Pirate fan, he will be most remembered as a wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Bill will be sadly missed by his family, including his two sons and daughters-in-law, William J. and Karen of North Carolina, and Ronald S. and Diana of Vermont; 4 cherished grandsons, Josh (Hannah); Brad (Jessica) all of North Carolina, Tyler of Virginia, and Jack of Vermont; 4 great-grandkids Wren, Theo, Colt and Luna of North Carolina; along with his brother Joe (Helen) Slusarcyk of Latrobe Pa, and 11 nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Thursday, March 9, 2023, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver, where a blessing service will be held Friday, March 10, 2023 at 11a.m. Entombment, with full military honors, will take place at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum, Rochester, following Friday’s service.
