William Elwood Reeves

William Elwood Reeves, age 81, of Ocean Isle Beach, died Friday, November 15, 2019, at his residence. William was born on May 8, 1938 to the late James Arthur Reeves and Flossie Mae Dew Reeves.  He was a Civil Engineer with Clark Construction Company for 25 years.  He was previously a member of Hallsboro Baptist Church and was currently a member at Greystone Baptist Church, Durham, NC. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son; James Arthur Reeves.

He is survived by his wife; Sylvia Adams Reeves, Ocean Isle Beach, a son; William Elwood Reeves, Jr. (H. Melinda), Tabor City, a daugther; Minnie Elizabeth "Sissy" Reeves, Ocean Isle Beach, a sister; Betty R. Boney of Jacksonville, NC, five grandchildren; William Elwood Reeves, III (Juliette), Cary, NC, Kyle Michael Reeves, Myrtle Beach, SC, Melinda Sue McCarty, Longs, SC, Aubrey Elizabeth McCarty, Longs, SC, Kristina Sophia Reeves, Cary, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at 2:00 pm at the McKenzie Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in Whiteville Memorial Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm prior to the service.
