William Howard Pope, Jr.

William Howard Pope, Jr., age 79, died Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at his residence.  He was born in Columbus County, January 25, 1942 to the late William Howard Pope, Sr. and Annie Pope.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers; Marvin Pope, Clifton Pope and James Pope, and a sister; Eleanor Pope Nye.

William served his country in the Air Force and then worked as an electrician.

He is survived by his daughter; Sandra Dameron of Missouri, two grandsons; Jason HIll of Southport, NC and Randal Hill of Clarendon, NC,  a great grandson; James Carson Lynn of Whiteville, NC, his former wife; Doris Pope of Hallsboro, NC,  and two sisters; Carolyn Pope Pierce of Hallsboro, NC and Joyce King of Ash, NC.

A visitation will be held at McKenzie Mortuary, Tuesday, February 2, 2021, from 6 pm - 8 pm with Military Honors.

The public is asked to practice COVID protocol by wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.
