William Levirn Pope, age 68, of Winter Haven, Florida, died December 23, 2020. He was born to the late Franklin Pope and Nezi Mae Best Pope in Columbus County, NC. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister; Kathryn Dale Pope and Nephew; Julius (Jay) High.
William served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Navy. He retired as a truck driver. Mr. Pope was a member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Winter Haven, Florida and was a former member of Hallsboro Baptist Church, Hallsboro, NC.
He is survived by his wife; Fredann Pope of Winter Haven, Fl., one daughter; Sarah Stickley (Justin) of Winter Haven, Fl., three sisters; Nancy Tolley (Randy) of Hallsboro, NC, Jessie Vogt (Ed) of Lynchburg, Va., and Mary Franklin Thomas (Jeffery) of Hallsboro, NC, two granddaughters; Kelsey Stickley and Aubree Stickley both of Winter Haven, Fl., a grandson; Thomas Sitckley of Winter Haven, Fl, three neieces and two nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2021, at 2:30 pm at Flynn Cemetery with Rev. Ed Vogt officiating.
In accordance with CDC Guidelines, masks will be required for attendance at the graveside service.
