Jack was born on May 2, 1936 to Emma and Leon Ellis of Whiteville. Jack married the love of his life, Yvonne, on November 22, 1956 and he has adored her for 65+ years. Together they raised two sons, Keith and Tim and his favorite daughter, Karen. Jack was the owner of Jack’s Motor Parts, Inc. for 53 years. He enjoyed repairing and restoring cars. He was an instrument rated pilot and enjoyed flying his plane for many years. In recent years Jack took delight in also being the breakfast chef and entertaining friends and family at the Madison House Bed and Breakfast owned by he and his wife Yvonne.
Above all, Jack loved the Lord. His life was a witness to his faith. If you knew Jack, you knew that he loved deeply. He was selfless and his servant heart was evident in his actions. He always put others above himself. He would help anyone and never expect anything in return. He was a gentle, quiet and humble man who reflected the love of God through everything he did. His example gave others courage and strength to live their best life and bring glory to God in their own walk with the Lord.
