Obituary
Sarah Jackson Ray, age 87, of Hallsboro, NC passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Lower Cape Fear Life Care Angel House. Sarah was born on January 12, 1936 in Robeson County to the late Arthur and Eva Jackson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; Robert Graham Ray.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter; Pamela Ray, two sons; Christopher Ray and Robert "Bobby" Ray all of Hallsboro, NC, two surviving sisters; Carolyn Ellis of Bladenboro and Eva Mae Elkins of Clarkton, three grandchildren; Casey Worley, Nicholas Ray, Derrick Nobles; and one great granddaughter; Starla Worley.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023, in the McKenzie Mortuary Chapel at 11:00 am with Scotty Elkins officiating. Burial will follow in Flynn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 10:45 am prior to the service.
