Sarah Adams Ray

Sarah Adams Ray, age 82, of Lake Waccamaw, died Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center in Whiteville.  She was born in Columbus County on November 25, 1938 to the late Charlie Adams and Minnie Memory Adams.

Sara is survived by her husband; Phillip Henry Ray of Lake Waccamaw, a son; Gaston Hennon Ray, also of Lake Waccamaw, a brother; Jerry Adams (Dora) of Whiteville, two sisters; Sylvia Reaves of Sunset Beach and Amanda Britt of Chadbourn, and a grandson; Phillip Chase Ray of Lake Waccamaw.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021, at 2:00 pm in the Hillcrest Cemetery at Lake Waccamaw with Chaplain Sam McLeary officiating.
