Obituary
Sandra Joyane Ray Hetrick, age 84, of Whiteville, NC, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at the Lower Cape Fear Life Care Center Angel House. Sandra was born on December 6, 1938 in Butler, PA to the late Harrison Ray and Elizabeth Roberts Ray. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years; Paul William Hetrick, a step-daugther; Karen Kahler, step-grandchildren; Lauren and Emily Kahler, brothers; Robert Ray, Lewis Ray and Allen Ray, and sisters; Doris Forcht, Milly Ray and Twila Devore..
Sandra was from a career of Food Service with Butler Memorial Hospital in Butler, PA.
Left to cherish her memory are a daughter; Carla B. Travaglio Fisher (Craig) of Whiteville, a stepson; Bill Hetrick (Donna) of Olathe, KS, a stepdaughter; Lynn Denton of Derby, KS, a brother; Alvin Ray of Butler, PA, a sister; Lucille Ray also of Butler, PA, grandchildren; Nathan Fisher (Michelle), Dylan Fisher (Chelsea) and Tess Ashley (Avery), stepgrandchildren; Ben Denton, Vance Denton, Luke Hetrick, Sean Kahler, and Andrew Hetrick, and one great grandchild; Rafael Fisher.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 2:00 pm in the Union Valley Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jeremiah Henderson officiating.
