Sallie Alene Stevens Bellamy Obituary

Sallie Alene Stevens Bellamy of Whiteville, NC, died on Sunday, October 31. She was the daughter of the late Jasper Stevens and Sallie Ikner Stevens. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-three years, James (Jimmy) Oliver Bellamy; brothers, Roland, Zell, Fred, Ethel, Irdell, and Howard Stevens, and one sister, Janie Stevens Stephens.

She was a member of Brunswick Baptist Church and the Women’s Missionary Union. She also served as a Greeter and mailed cards to the sick and shut in.

Her survivors include a son, James Donald Bellamy (Carolyn) of Wilmington, NC; a daughter, Susanna Bellamy Davis (Mark Irby) of Whiteville, NC; grandson, Brian Bellamy of Wilmington, NC; granddaughters, Jenna Davis of Whiteville, NC and Anna Davis of Daytona Beach, FL; a great granddaughter, Katelynn Bellamy of Wilmington, NC; and great grandsons, Luke Bellamy of Wilmington, NC, and Neil Davis of Whiteville, NC; and a son-in-law, Keith Davis of Whiteville, NC.

A graveside service will be held in Columbus Memorial Park, Whiteville, NC, on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Darryll Hester officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Services are entrusted to McKenzie Mortuary, 112 Jefferson St., Whiteville, NC  28421.
