River Matthew Ross, born June 12, 2021, died peacefully Friday, September 10, 2021, at UNC Hospital with his family by his side.  He was born in Wilmington to Matt and Maggie Ross of Nakina.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather; Robert Sellers.

In addition to his parents, River is survived by his paternal grandparents; Chris and Shannon Ross of Old Dock, his maternal grandparents; Sherwood and Cindy Strickland of Evergreen, and maternal grandmother; Diane Sellers of Supply.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Palmyra Baptist Church at 11:00 am with Rev. John Roberson and Rev. Wayne Faulk officiating.  Internment will follow in the Ross Family Cemetery.
