Phillip Henry Ray

Phillip Henry Ray, age 87, of Lake Waccamaw, died Monday, September 6, 2021, at Premier Living.  He was born in Columbus County to the late Mr. & Mrs. Gaston H. Ray.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife; Sarah Adams Ray (July 22, 2021).

Phillip served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.  He then worked as an E & I Mechanic at International Paper.

He is survived by his son; Gaston Hennon Ray of Lake Waccamaw, a grandson; Phillip Chase Ray, a sister; Virginia McFall of St. Pete, Florida, and a brother; David J. Ray of Carolina Beach, NC.

A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 2:00 pm in Hillcrest Cemetery, Lake Waccamaw with Chaplain Sam McLeary officiating. Friends are invited to leave condolences for the family on our Tribute Wall.
