Obituary
Phillip E. Tarte Jr, 52, of Whiteville, North Carolina, went to be with our heavenly father on Friday, April 14th, 2023. Phillip was born on April 5, 1971 in Lumberton, NC to the late Phillip Eugene Tarte, Sr and Mona Faye McPherson Tarte.
Phillip was a 1989 graduate of Whiteville High School, a 1993 graduate of The University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, and a 2000 graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a master's degree in Health Care Administration. He devoted his professional career to Public Health until his retirement.
He loved to hunt, fish, sing, cook and spend time with his family.
Phillip is survived by his beloved children; Phillip Masen Tarte and Nealey Collier Tarte both of Wilmingon, NC, and his sister; Sheree Tarte Heisler (Darrell) of Matthews, NC.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the McKenzie Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Kenny Byrd officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 1:45 pm prior to the service.
