Nelva Meares Fahrbach

Nelva Meares Fahrbach, age 77 of Corbin, KY passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Baptist Housing in Corbin.

Born in Bladen County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Russell Meares and Elsie Davis Meares.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Warren William Fahrbach Sr.; two children, Benny Ray Smith and Melanie Kay Fahrbach-Staats; two sisters, Evelyn Horne and Mary Osborne, and son-in-law, Charles Brian Jasper.

Nelva is survived by her two daughters; Rev. Scarlette Jasper of Somerset, KY and Erika Smith of Elizabethtown, NC, son; Warren Fahrbach Jr, three sisters; Pam Roberts, Sylvia Charles, and Charlona Moore, brother; Russell Meares and by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins who all loved her dearly.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021, at the Briar Branch Baptist Church, Elizabethtown, NC, at 3:00 pm with Rev. Scarlette Jasper, Rev. Roger Jasper and Rev. Russell Meares officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the church prior to the funeral.  A dinner will be served at the church following the internment.
