Nellie Strickland Richardson

Nellie Strickland Richardson, age 91, of Cerro Gordo, NC, passed away Monday, August 8, 2022 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.  Nellie was born in Columbus County on May 3, 1931 to the late Tomp and Mollie Strickland.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband; Numan Strickland, her second husband; Roger G. Richardson and her daughter; Jonell S. Packer.

She was a farmer on her own farm.

Left to cherish her memory are her Grandsons; Lynn Packer (Caroline) and Numan Packer (Hollie) both of Tabor City, NC, a Great-Grandson; Reid Packer, a Great-Granddaughter; Sophia Packer and Son in law; Jimmy Packer.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at the Cherry Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Tabor City, NC, with Rev. Charles Dudley officiating.
