Nancy Harrelson Oakley, age 81, of Whiteville, NC, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at the Lower Cape Fear Angel House.  Nancy was born in Columbus County on December 27, 1942 to the late Ezra Harrelson and Lena Currie Harrelson.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; James Clyde (Jimmy) Oakley, Sr and her brother; Neil Harrelson.

She worked as a site supervisor for a property management company for several years.

Left to cherish her memory are her son; James Clyde Oakley Jr (Clarissa) of Morristown, TN, her daughter; Kim Oakley Duncan of Hickory, NC, a brother; John Harrelson of Virginia, and four grandchildren; Kaitlin Duncan (Rob), Jenna Duncan, Grayson James Oakley and Ryan Garrison Oakley.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 12:00 pm in the McKenzie Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Howard James officiating.  Burial will follow at Whiteville Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 - 11:45 am prior to the service.
