Myrtle Bea Jacobs Freeman of Buckhead, age 86, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2022.  Myrtle was born on May 3, 1935 in Columbus County to the late Sylvester Freeman and Henrietta Baldwin Freeman.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; Andrew Harvey Jacobs, her sons; Lambert Burnell Jacobs and Harvey Gaston Jacobs, and her daughters; Patricia Dianne Campbell, Maxine Jacobs and Nora Lee Jacobs.

Ms. Freeman worked as a private caregiver.  She loved to sing and was a member of the Canaan Land Travelers.  Gardening was Ms. Freeman's favorite pastime.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters; Zelma Moore (Willie), Paula Jacobs (Terry) both of Buckhead and Sharon Carter (Edward) of Stanley, NC, 10 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at Mt. Sinai Holiness Church, Buckhead, at 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 19, 2022 with Rev. Mike Jacobs officiating.  Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 1:45 pm prior to the service.
