Melvin Henry Avery

Melvin Henry Avery, 92 of Bolton died Sunday, October 25, 2020 at the Columbus Regional Healthcare Center in Whiteville. Melvin was born in Frankfort, Michigan on March 19, 1928 to the late Floyd Leslie Avery and Lyle Michael Avery.  In addition to his parents, Melvin is predeceased by his wife; Candelari Veriation Avery.

Melvin served his country in the Army as a machine operator during the Korean Conflict.

Melvin is survived by a niece; Evangeline Parker (Charles) of Bolton and several other nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday night at McKenzie Mortuary from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Hillcrest Cemetery, Lake Waccamaw, NC, with Rev. Darryll Hester officiating.
