Obituary
Mary Lee Johnson Gadd-Payseur, age 70, of Thurmond, NC, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 3, 2023, at Lower Cape Fear Life Care, Whiteville, NC. Mary was born to the late Edwin Lee Johnson and Isabelle Stiffler Johnson in Baltimore, MD, on February 19, 1953. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; Ernest Everitte Payseur.
She worked for over 20 years as a cook for Foot Hills Grocery.
Mary is survived by her daughter; Tracy Freeman of Longs, SC, a sister; Julie Routson of Glenn Rock, PA, three brothers; Robert Fisher, William Fisher and Thomas Johnson all of Glenn Rock, PA, seven grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Services will be announced at a later date.
Local arrangements are under the care of McKenzie Mortuary, 112 Jefferson St., Whiteville, NC.
