Mary Elizabeth Smith Little

Mary Elizabeth Smith Little, age 71, of Delco, NC, passed away at Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.  Mary was born in New Hanover County on March 14, 1952 to the late Raymond Smith and Carlene Parker Smith.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a grandson; Dillan Jacobs.

Mary worked in the school cafeteria at Riegelwood for several years and loved gardening.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband; Jerry Edward Little, son; James Edward Little (Luci) of Delco, daughter; Stephanie Carlene Little of Delco, son; John Paul Little of Lumberton, grandchildren; Cameron Little, James Little, Jr., Austin Little, Jeremiah Little, Mariah Little, Issac Little, Mary Deese Little,  Lawrence Sellers and Drake Shipman, great grandchildren; Marianne Little and Lanie Little, brothers; Robert Smith, Larry Smith and Allen Smith all of Delco, step-sister; Angel Justice of Riegelwood and step-brother; Dewey Carroll of Delco.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023, at 3:00 pm at Livingston Baptist Church with Rev. Matthew Griffin and Rev. Richard Wade officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Livingston Baptist Church on Thursday evening, September 7, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
