Margaret Helen Love Gore

Margaret Helen Love Gore, age 75, of Whiteville, NC, passed away peacefully Saturday with her family by her side, August 14, 2021 at her home.  She was born in Jackson Parrish, Louisiana to the late William "Bill" Love and Margaret Infinger Love.

Helen was a Primary Teacher at Hallsboro and Chadbourn.  She attended Old Dock Methodist Church.  She had a love for horses.

She is survived by her husband (of almost 40 years); Ervin "Bud" Gore of Whiteville, a daughter; Julie Hathway of Tabor City, a son; Ian Coleman (Jerri) of Whiteville, two step daughters; Terri Gore of Nakina, and Jackie Madden of Lumberton, seven Grandchildren and six Great Grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at 4:00 pm at Old Dock Methodist Church with Rev. Kenneth Sides officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:30 - 3:45 pm at the church prior to the service.
