Mabel Stevens Clemmons

Whiteville: Mabel Stevens Clemmons, 90, of Whiteville, NC went to meet her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 1, 2020 in Trinity Grove Nursing Community in Wilmington, N.C. She was the daughter of the late Charlie E. Stevens and Nancy Hardee Stevens.  She was proceeded in death by her Loving husband Alfred Clemmons, brother, Leroy Stevens and her sister, Flossie Stevens Tedder. She was a long-time member of Pleasant Plains Baptist Church and worked as a pre-school teacher for many years.  

Survivors include her Son; Gary Ernest Clemmons and wife, Lynda, of Whiteville, N.C.  and a daughter; Rita Clemmons Powell and husband, Bill, of Whiteville, N.C. Grandchildren: Amanda Anne Powell, William Anderson Powell, III (Courtney), Ernie Clemmons (Lisa), David Clemmons (Laura), Jamie Bowen (Casey), Oren Russell (Heather). 11 Great- Grandchildren.

A Private Burial will be held on Thursday, June 4.
