Louise Ward Simmons

Louise Ward Simmons, age 78, of Clarkton, NC, died Sunday, May 9, 2021. She was born in Columbus County on May, 15, 1942 to the late Van Ward and Ressie Q. Jacobs Ward. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Robert N. Simmons and a son Samuel Mitchell Simmons.

Louise was a homemaker and she was a member of the Nakina Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She is survived by three daughters; Charlotte Ann Simmons of Bolton, NC, Jenice Simmons and Deborah K. Simmons both of Clarkton, NC, four sons; James R. Simmons of Sanford, NC, Stephen A. Simmons of Tabor City, NC, Joseph K. Simmons and Larry O'Neil Simmons both of Chadbourn, NC, four brothers; Leonard Ward of Whiteville, NC, Larry Ward of Tabor City, NC, Barry Ward of Georgia and Robert Ward of Michigan, 14 Grandchildren and 27 Great Grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, in the Camp Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, 90 Camp Branch Rd. NW, Ash, NC, at 3 pm with the Rev. Darrin Moore officiating.
