Obituary
Lonnie Mae Ransom Williams, age 81, of Whiteville, NC, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at Columbus Regional Healthcare. She was born on December 6, 1940, in Bladen County to the late Lonnie Hayes Ransom and Edgie Jane Brown Ransom.
Mrs. Williams taught school for several years and was a member of First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband; John Ander Williams, Jr., a daughter; Angela Jane Williams of Boston, MA, a son; John Ander "Andy" Williams III of Florence, SC, a sister; Carolina R. Roberts of Holden Beach, NC, two brothers; Jerry Ransom and Tim Ransom, both of Bladenboro, NC, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church, Whiteville. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 10:45 am prior to the service. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mt. Calvary Original Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1584 Greens Mill Rd., Clarkton, NC 28433 or Whiteville First Baptist Church, 412 N. Madison St., Whiteville, NC 28472.
