Lola Gore Mintz, 96, of Delco, NC, passed away at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center in Whiteville on Saturday, May 27, 2023 surrounded by her family. Lola was born on December 7, 1926 to the late Rass Gore and Euella Champion Gore in Columbus County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lawson Mintz and a daughter, Lottie Mae Mintz Yow

She was a homemaker and a member of Union Grove Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church in Delco, NC. She enjoyed gardening especially flowers.

Survivors include daughters, Rose Elaine Benson (Sammy)  of Jacksonville, Fl, Rebecca Smith of  Chadbourn, NC , Helen Mintz Malpass (Chris)  of Delco, NC , sons, Thomas (Buddy) Mintz of Delco, NC, James (Coot) Mintz (Janet) of Council, NC, Robert Mintz (Janie) of  Chadbourn, NC and Dean Mintz (Janice) of Delco, NC, 18 Grandchildren, 40 Great-grandchildren, 22 Great-great-grandchildren and 1 Great-great-great-grandson, sisters, Ella Mae Gore of Delco, NC, and Thelma Gore Rooks, Long Creek, NC.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Union Grove Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with Rev. Rodney Rose and Rev. Patsy Smith officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 1:45 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow at Piney Grove Christian Advent Church Cemetery.
