Lloyd J. "Jinks" Williamson, age 77, of Whiteville, NC, passed away at his residence on Monday, January 2, 2023. He was born on February 2, 1945 in Galivants Ferry, SC, to the late Gurtha Williamson and Eva Clark Williamson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers; Harold Williamson and Jerry Williamson and his sisters; Julie Bell Williamson and Betty Sue Woodell.
Lloyd served his country in the United States Army National Guard, he received a Culinary Associate Degree, and also worked for several years as a deliveryman for Sunbeam Bread Company.
Lloyd is survived by his wife; Mae Johnson Williamson, two daughters; Sheila Floyd Gore of Loris, SC and Sherita James (Frank) of Whiteville, NC, three sons; Mitchell Floyd and Randall Floyd both of Mullins, SC and Derrick Stanley of Portland, Oregon, two sisters; Keller Alford of Mullins, SC and Tammy F. Williamson of Columbia, SC, two brothers; Cordie Williamson of Conway, SC and Bennie Williamson of Galivants Ferry, SC, 10 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2022, in the McKenzie Mortuary Chapel at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 2:45 pm prior to the service.
