Lillian Proctor Soles

Lillian Proctor Soles, age 99, of N. Charleston, SC (formerly of Whiteville) passed away  Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at her residence with her family by her side.  Lillian was born in Columbus County on October 11, 1922 to the late James Everette Proctor and Letha Cartrette Proctor. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; Avery Gordon Soles.

She first worked in farming for many years before going back to receive a degree at Southeastern Community College as a CNA.  Lillian then worked at Columbus County Hospital until retirement.  She loved working with ceramics and even taught classes in ceramics. Lillian was a member of Pleasant Plains Baptist Church, Whiteville.

Left to cherish her memory are her son; William Ray Soles (Abby) of N. Charleston, SC, two Grandchildren; William Ray Soles Jr, and Benjamin Bryan Soles and three Great Grandchildren; Elizabeth Soles, Benjamin Soles Jr, and Hazel Soles.

A funeral service will be held in the McKenzie Mortuary Chapel on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at 11:00 am with Rev. Darryll Hester officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 10:45 am prior to the service.  Burial will be in Flynn Cemetery.
