Lester Bagley Valentine

Lester Bagley Valentine, age 60, of Whiteville, NC passed away unexpectedly on  Friday, April 30, 2021.  He was born in Columbus County to the late Howard Leon Valentine, Jr. and Frances Ann Brewer Valentine on August 8, 1960.  In addition to his parents, Lester was preceded in death by his brother; Howard Leon (Corkey) Valentine, III.

Lester served his country in the United States Navy for 10 years and then worked in engineering as a pipe designer.

He is survived by a sister; Lucinda "Cindy" V. Anderson (John) of Cary, NC, a brother; Ricky Valentine, two nephews; Justin Howard Anderson (Nancy) of Winterville, NC and Dr. Steven Anderson (Erin) of Blowing Rock, NC, four great nieces; Anna Grace Anderson, Lilly Anderson, Claire Anderson, and Ella Frances Anderson, and special close friends Bob and Amy Jordan of Whiteville, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at 2:00 pm at McKenzie Mortuary with Rev. Darryll Hester officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:45 -1:45 pm prior to the service.
