Joshua "Josh" Taylor Denton, age 28, of Riegelwood, NC, died Friday, April 9, 2021, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Josh was born in Columbus County to Randall Irwin Denton and Rebecca Simpson Denton both of Riegelwood, NC.  He is preceded in death by his Paternal Grandmother; Coleen Denton and his Maternal Grandmother; Rosa Simpson.

Josh worked in the lumber milling profession and was a member of Mt. Sinai Holiness Church, Buck Head, NC.

In addition to his parents, Josh is survived by two brothers; Randall Lee Brady Denton and Jordan Wesley Denton both of Riegelwood, a sister; Katie Denton Russ of Shallotte, NC, special sister; Ashleigh Lewis and special brother; Kendan Patrick both of Riegelwood, several loving nieces and nephews, his paternal grandfather; Lester Denton (Jan) of Bolton, NC and his maternal grandfather; Charles Simpson of Riegelwood.

Josh's Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, April 15, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Mt. Sinai Holiness Church with the Rev. Mike Jacobs and Rev. Calvin Malpass officiating.  Burial will follow in the Simpson Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm prior to the service.

McKenzie Mortuary will be in charge of arrangements.
