Joseph Warren Cook, Jr.

Joseph Warren Cook, Jr., 95 passed away Friday, February 14th at the Lower Cape Fear Life Care Center in Whiteville, North Carolina.  Warren was born February 17, 1924 in Whiteville. He was predeceased by his loving wife Mary Williamson Cook.  He leaves behind a daughter, Carolyn(Stan) a son Joe(Catherine) two wonderful grandchildren Joseph(Elizabeth), Sally Grace and two great grandchildren, Madison and Colin.  

Warren was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who loved people and life.  His passions were in construction, singing, First Baptist Church and being an integral part of the Whiteville community.  He was a resident of Liberty Commons in Whiteville and with their loving support of the Physical Therapy Department, Nurses and Staff thrived until his death.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 20th from 7:00-9:00pm McKenzie Mortuary.The funeral will be on Friday, February 21st at 11:00am at First Baptist Church with burial following Whiteville Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 412 North Madison Street, Whiteville North Carolina.
