Johnny Phillip Miller, age 73, of Whiteville, NC passed away at Columbus Regional Healthcare on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.  He was born in Columbus County on February 24, 1951 to the late Henry Miller and Grace Stephens Miller.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife; Linda Faye Todd Miller, a brother; Clifford Miller, and grandchildren; Nicholas Barnes, Katelyn Barnes, and Johnny Miller, Jr.

Johnny was a meat cutter at Red & White in Whiteville.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters; Melissa Linda Barnes (Fiance: Curtis Strickland) and Michelle Grainger (Jimmy) both of Whiteville, two sisters; Marie Cox of Chadbourn and Betty Lou Miller (Etheridge) of Cruso, and grandchildren; Christopher Wayne Jernigan, Michael Canady, Jimmy Grainger, and Johnathon Grainger.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 11:00 am at the McKenzie Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Timmy Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in Flynn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Friday, June 21, 2024, from 6 - 8 pm at McKenzie Mortuary.
