Obituary
Jerry Wayne Parker, age 73, of Whiteville, NC, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Liberty Commons Health and Rehab. Jerry was born on February 19, 1950 in Columbus County to the late Charles Edward Parker and Thelma Creech Parker. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife; Elizabeth Diane Parker, his brother; Woodrow F. Penny and his sister; Jeanette Tedder.
Jerry worked in farming for years and loved working on tractors.
He is survived by two sons; Edward James Parker (Lisa) of Nichols, SC and Anthoney Wayne Parker of Whiteville, five grandchildren; Elizabeth Parker, Taylor Parker, Tanner Parker, Deanna Pacay and Erin Pacay, one great granddaughter; Athena Brooklynn Parker, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at 2:00 pm in the Creech-Penny Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Dalton officiating. The family will receive friends at 1:30 pm prior to the service.
