Hattie Melinda Pike Malpass Obituary

Hattie Malpass, age 71, of Delco, NC passed away at New Hanover Regional Medical Center on Sunday, November 19, 2023. Hattie was born in New Hanover County on April 23, 1952 to the late John Wesley Pike and Viola Matthews Pike.

She worked at New Hanover Regional Healthcare in Wilmington.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband; Billy Gale Malpass, four sons; Billy Ray Malpass, Sidney Phillip Malpass, Jimmy C. Malpass and Gage Marshall all of Delco, a brother; Darryll Davis of Riegelwood, a grandson; Dustin Lee Malpass, a grandaughter; Haylie Malpass and several great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 24, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Prosper Baptist Church, Delco, NC, with Pastor Eddie Watts officiating. Burial will be in the Champion Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm - 1:45 pm prior to the service.

McKenzie Mortuary, 112 Jefferson St., Whiteville, NC is serving the Malpass family.
