Graves Thomas Lewis
July 29, 1924 – June 4, 2019
Graves Thomas Lewis, 94, son of Ben and Mary Lo Rena Peele Lewis, died suddenly at home in Lake Waccamaw. He grew upand lived many years in Goldsboro, NC. He also lived in Atlanta, GA. He worked in retail and wholesale hardware and farm equipment and estate planning. Mr. Lewis was a committed member of the Rotary International Club beginning in 1946. He maintained perfect attendance for nearly 40 years. He enjoyed supporting friends and neighbors.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Fuller Lewis. His children, Ben A. Lewis and Deborah Brewer, Jean T. Lewis, Susan Southern and Gray, Tim Lewis and Kim; grandchildren, George(Brooke), Jessica, Kirk (Giselle), Mary-Gray, Preston; great-grandchildren, Harrison and Tate; step-son, Bryan Baldwin. loving friends, Tommy Brewer, Chad Brewer, Virginia Jackson, Kay and Charles Corbett.
Mr. Lewis hoped that he would be remembered as having applied the Rotary Four-Way Test to his life.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 8, at the Lake Waccamaw Presbyterian Church at 2:00pm by the family with Rev. Steuart Link officiating. Memorials may be made to Rotary International or to the Boys and Girls Home of North Carolina.
