Earl Lee "Jerry" Malpass

Earl Lee "Jerry" Malpass, age 70, of Delco, NC, passed away Tuesday at Columbus Regional Healthcare in Whiteville.  Jerry was born in Columbus County on December 26, 1952 to the late Sidney Malpass and Lois Reaves Malpass.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister; Judy Dale and two brothers; Bobby Malpass and Eugene Malpass.

Jerry was a member of Full Gospel Outreach Church.  He was a logger by trade.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife; Laura Smith Malpass, a daughter; Sheila M. O'Brien (Paul) of Delco, a son; Christopher Lee Malpass (Helen) of Delco, a sister; Becky M. Bigford of Atkinson, NC, a brother Billy G. Malpass of Delco, and two grandchildren; Jase Mintz and Maggie O'Brien.

A funeral will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 11:00 am at Red Hill Pentecostal Church with Rev. Calvin Malpass officiating.  Burial will follow in Champion Cemetery, Delco, NC.  The family will receive friends on Friday, May 26, 2023, at the church from 6:00-8:00 pm.
