Douglas Crowell Buffkin Obituary
Douglas Crowell Buffkin, age 90, of Whiteville, passed away peacefully Friday, December 12, 2025, at Liberty Commons Rehab. Douglas was born on November 22, 1935 to the late Libie Crowell Buffkin and Sadie Williams Stanley Buffkin. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife; Norma Gail Sealey Buffkin and brother; Gene Lewin Buffin.
Douglas served his country honorably in the United States Army. He then worked for 37 years at Federal Paper. He was a member of Pleasant Plains Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memory are several special family members and close special friends; Frances Stephens and Delane Stephens.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church. Burial with Military Honors and Masonic Rights will follow at Whiteville Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm prior to the service.
