Lake Waccamaw: Doris Bullard Packer, 84 of Lake Waccamaw died Sunday June 14,2020 at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. She was the daughter of the late Theodore Bullard and Lourena Pope Bullard and was preceded in death by her husband, Levy Packer, son, Benjamin Levy Packer, brother, Robert Bullard and a sister, Geneva B. Hildebrandt of Maryland. She was a member of Union Chapel Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Yvonne P. Smith (Phil) of Whiteville and Gwendolyn P. Godwin (Andy) of the Crusoe Community, son,Sandy T.Packer (Esparanza ) of Elpaso, Texas., and a brother, Roger Bullard (Dorothy) of Monroe, N.C., 7 Grandchildren, Anthony Godwin (Heather)of Whiteville, Chris Ray (Melissa) of Hallsboro,Zachary Godwin of the Crusoe Island Community, Misty Hardee (David) of Guidway,,Jimmy Packer of Georgia,anthony Packer(Brandi) of Mollie, and Matthew Levy Packer of ElPaso, Texas and 6 Great-Grandchildren, Jacob Singletary, Jackson Hardee, Mandeline Ray, Landry Godwin, Macie Packer and Waylon Packer. Several Nieces and Nephews.
A Graveside Service will be Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Pierce Cemetery with Rev. Terry Green officiating.
