Christopher Allan Land

Christopher Allan Land, age 52, of Whiteville, NC passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at his residence.  He was born January 25, 1972 in Columbus County to Gail Thompson Land Peterson of Whiteville and the late William Chris Land of Warrenton, Ga.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step father; Michael B. Peterson, maternal grandparents Joyce Harwood Duncan and Boyd Thompson, paternal grandparents; Kathleen L. Hayes Roberts, W.C. Land, Lloyd Hayes, Martha Land, and Uncle Craig Land.

Left to cherish his memory in addition to his mother are wife; Crystal Land, stepdaughters; Taylor Hinson (Ethan) and Tiffani Beck, stepson; Trey Dukes, step mother Cathy Land, grandchildren; Farrah Hinson, Cole Hinson, Bradin Batten, Westin Batten and Parker Patterson, brothers; Clint Land and Nathan Garrell, grandmother; Margaret Thompson, grandfather; Charles Roberts, maternal aunts Terri Ripley (Tony), Linda McMath (Al), and Lori Collins (Todd), maternal uncle Keith Thompson (Emily), paternal uncle Ricky Land, many loved cousins and extended family, and his constant companion; his dog Duchess.

Allan was warm, kind, honest, smart, quiet, talented and funny with a heart of gold.  He loved his family and friends, good food, and his animals, especially dogs.  He was greatly loved in return and will be tremendously missed.

Visitation will be at McKenzie Mortuary on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, from 7:00-8:30 pm.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at McKenzie Mortuary at 3:00 pm with Rev. Tony Ripley officiating.  Burial will follow at Thompson Cemetery.
