Christine Jernigan Lindsey

Christine Jernigan Lindsey, age 88, of Whiteville, NC passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024, at UNC-Southeastern Regional Medical Center, Lumberton, NC.  Christine was born in Columbus County on June 19, 1935 to the late Lawyer Jernigan and Bertha Sasser Jernigan.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter; Sharon Heath, two sisters; Gracie Byrd and Athlene Jernigan, and one brother; William Jernigan.

She was a member of Hallsboro Church of God.

Left to cherish her memory are three sisters; Carolyn Jane Figiel (Bill) of Whiteville, Rosemary Cooke of Orange Park, FL and Joyce Hamm of Hickory, NC, one brother; Marshall Jernigan of Whiteville, and two grandchildren; Kyle Heath and Luke Heath.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Stuarts Draft, VA.
