Charlotte Inez (Shipman) Ward

Whiteville: Charlotte Inez Shipman Ward, 89 of Whiteville died Friday, September 28, 2018 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, N.C.  She was the daughter of the late Neil Andrew Shipman and Laura Heustess Shipman. She was preceded in death by her husband Leamon Albert Ward. She was preceded in death by her sisters,  Leysane Shipman , Ola Jane S. Tyner, Anna S. Vaughn and brothers, Andrew Shipman, John E. Shipman and Sidberry  Shipman. She worked in Healthcare as an R.N. for over 46 years and was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Whiteville, N.C.

Survivors include Daughters; Dorothy “Dot” Ward Gore , Martha Jones ( Glenn Dale) ,and Rachel McQueen (Barry)  , Sons; Steve Ward (Letha)  ,and Keith Ward  all of Whiteville, N.C. , Sister; Laura Neal Horrell of Clarkton, N.C. ; 10 Grandchildren; 12 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Step-Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be Monday, October 1, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Old Dock Methodist Church with Rev. Kenneth Sides officiating with burial following in the Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Church on Monday October 1, 2018 from 2:00pm until 2:45pm prior to the service.
