Charles Keith Young
Obituary
Charles Keith Young, age 75, of Lake Waccamaw, NC, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Lower Cape Fear Life Care, Whiteville, NC. Keith was born on March 10, 1948 in Columbus County to the late Charles Frank Young and Estelle Robinson Young. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother; Oran Young and his beloved dog, Barney.
Keith served his country in the United States National Guard. He went on to receive a Bachelor's Degree and served 28 years as a Probation Officer for the Department of Corrections.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife; Jeannette Jones Young, two sons; Keats Byron Young of Ocean Isle Beach, NC and Matthew Keith Young (Sally Ann) of Whiteville, two sisters; Janet Young Berry and Carolyn Young McPherson (Phil) both of Lake Waccamaw, one brother; Murray Young of Raleigh, NC, and three grandchildren; Conner Young; Olivia Young and Abby Young.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 2:00 pm in the McKenzie Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Willard McPherson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm prior to the service.
