Carolyn Pierce, age 87, of Hallsboro, NC, died peacefully at her home Thursday, July 1, 2021, with her family by her side. She was born on September 10, 1933 in Columbus County to the late William Howard Pope and Annie Dowling Pope. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband; Robert Ray Pierce and a grandson; Jeffery Reynolds.
Carolyn worked in bookkeeping for over 30 years. She was a member of Hallsboro Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters; Barbara P. Watts, Carol P. Jernigan (Ray), and Withie P. Reynolds all of Hallsboro, a son; Robert Ray "Bobby" Pierce Jr. (Wendy) of Hallsboro, five grandchildren; Robert E. Watts, Laura Watts, Chris Jernigan, Billie Pierce and Robert R. Pierce, III, (Gabby) and three great grandchildren; Natalie Jernigan, Gage Jernigan and Eli Pierce.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 5, 2021, at 10:00 am in the Pierce Cemetery, Hallsboro, with Rev. Scott Lewis officiating.
