Carol Hope Burney Wallace

Carol Hope Burney Wallace, 62, of Nashville, TN & formerly of Wilmington, NC, died May 24, 2021 after a long, courageous fight against cancer. She was born December 31, 1958 in New Hanover County, NC to the late Roland C Burney and Lyla Mae Wilson Burney. 

Carol graduated from New Hanover High School in 1977 and then from Duke University in 1981.

Carol’s career spanned 29 years as Operations Manager for the New Hanover Child Support Department and most recently with Young Williams CSS in Nashville TN. She was well respected and greatly admired in both positions.

Carol is survived by her son, Christopher Wallace of NYC.

Friends and family are invited to attend the graveside service, Tuesday, June 1, 2021, 11:00am at Hillcrest Cemetery (Sam Potts Highway), Lake Waccamaw, NC with Rabbi Robert Waxman officiating.
