C.O. Lewis, Jr.

Delco: C.O. Lewis, Jr. 68 of Delco died Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. He was born in New Hanover County, NC on November 3, 1949, the son of the late Clifton Othello Lewis, Sr. and Margaret Smith Lewis. He worked with Federal Paper for over 33 years.  He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Livingston Baptist Church.  He enjoyed riding horses, deer hunting , fishing and being with family and friends.
Surviving is his wife of 48 years, Marilyn Long Lewis; two daughters, Denise (Becky) Lewis, and Heather L. Robertson (Chris); son, Jeremy Lewis (Hope); brother, James Martin Lewis all of Delco, NC;   grandchildren, Lilly and Sophie Robertson, Winter Lewis, Presley Lewis, Adale and Ariel Oxendine, William and Cheyenne Harrelson, Shane Jordan and Abby Guevara; special nieces, Jessica Mintz, Terry Lynn and Julia Huey.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:45 pm Friday at Livingston Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 2:00 pm with Pastor Matthew Griffin and Pastor Patsy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Eric and Elvin Ray Mintz, Jerry Little, Kevin Long, Jimmy Ham, and Jeff Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Alfred Bridgers, William “Duck” Cook, Bobby Ellis, Tom Hilburn, Paul Todd, Brian Beaver, Bob Moore, and Rick Trump.
