Bobby Ray Moore

Bobby Ray Moore, age 84, of Delco, NC passed away peacefully on Monday, October 2, 2023, at Premier Living Healthcare, Lake Waccamaw.  Bobby was born in Columbus County on December 9, 1938 to the late John Bernice Moore and Edna Frances Lennon Moore.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife; Sarah Hunt Moore, two brothers; Arrel Moore and Jack Moore, and a sister; LaRene Moore Miller.

Bobby began his career as a Pipe Fitter in the construction of Federal Paper in the late 1950's.  He then continued as an employee of the mill after the construction.  He had a second career as a farmer. 

Left to cherish his memory are his sons; Kendall Ray Moore (Shelly Hauser) of Delco, NC and Robert Lebannon Moore (Gina) of Delco, NC, a brother; Haynes Moore of East Bend, NC, two grandsons; Kendall Moore, Jr and Joshua Colton Moore (Nadya), and a great granddaughter Amiya Moore.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Riegelwood Baptist Church, Riegelwood, NC at 2:00 pm with Rev. Cameron Lewis and Johnny Lennon Officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45 pm prior to the service.  Burial will follow in Livingston Baptist Church Cemetery.
