Bob Edward Jordan, 63, of Whiteville died September 3, 2022, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. 

Bob Edward Jordan, 63, of Whiteville died September 3, 2022, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.  Bob was born on October 29, 1958, in Columbus County to the late Ralph Wilson Jordan and Prudence Eve Todd Jordan. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Patience Elizabeth Spivey and a brother Ralph Wilson Jordan, Jr.

Bob had a career in industrial construction as a draftsman. He was a patriot and an avid outdoors man whose passion was fishing and teaching his grandchildren to appreciate nature and the outdoors. Later in life he became a beekeeper. Bob’s favorite place was at his home on Inman Lake where his fondest memories were entertaining family and friends with his story telling and pitmaster cooking. He never met a stranger. Bob was blessed with the capacity of friendship and maintained lifelong bonds with his boyhood friends and companions. To his family and friends, Bob is “On the Beach”.

Bob is survived by his fiancé and partner of 21 years, Amie Loy Ryan and grandson, Grant Greene of the home, a sister, Titania Jordan Methvin (Ray) of Southport, a daughter, Julia Jordan of Whiteville, a son, Jason Jordan (Chrissy) of Whiteville, and grandchildren Victoria Greene, Lexie Greene, Hailey Jordan, Bryson Johnston and Rylan Jordan. Bob was also blessed by an extended family with whom he spent many happy days, Pawnee Ryan Beltz (William) and Lilliana Beltz as the youngest member of the family.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 2:00 pm at West Whiteville Baptist Church, 206 Sunset Avenue, Whiteville, NC, with the Rev. Willard McPherson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 1:45 pm prior to the service. A private burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City.
