Obituary
Barbara Ellen Walters, 66, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday February 22, 2023, at her home in Mobile. Barbara grew up in Whiteville, moving to her beloved Alabama after high school. She never wavered in her attachment to Mobile and the Gulf coast, remaining there for life and working as a computer programmer/technician.
As we remember her, we will always be touched by her strong love of animals and will especially recall her doting affection for her dogs, Lucy and Biscuit.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Dr HG and Ellen Walters of Whiteville, and her life partner Larry Wimpee. She is survived by her brother Dr Ron Walters and wife Debra of Whiteville, sister Dr Grace Walters and husband Roy of Pittsburgh, PA, cousins, and many others who loved her and realize there will never be another person like her.
A private family service is planned.
