Barbara Ann Smith Worley passed away Monday, January 4, 2021, at Columbus Regional Healthcare.  She was born in New Hanover County to the late Leon Smith and Hazel Thompson Smith on March 29, 1942.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Dowe "Cuz" Worley.

She was owner and operator of Worley's True Value Hardware.  Barbara was a member at Western Prong Baptist Church where she taught a Sunday School Class for over 45 years.

She is survived by one son; Ricky Dowe Worley (Karen) of Whiteville, two daughters; Cynthia Ann W. Gibson (Dan) of Mary Hill, NC and Robin W. Gore (Keith) of Whiteville, one brother; Larry Smith of Whiteville, one sister; Martha Thompson of Whiteville, Grandchildren; Tracy Gore (Mark), Tiffany Inman (Timmy), Hannah Hickman (Kyle), Catarina G. Davis (Jarrett), Brian Eddie Benton (Misty), Ashlee Roby (Ric), Molly Clement (Garrett) and Brayden Schmitt, Great Grandchildren; Ivan Gore, Issac Gore, Caleb Fowler, Mason Benton, Landon Inman, Case Inman, and Kyla Benton.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Western Prong Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Warren Hill and Rev. Russell Honeycutt officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at the cemetery prior to the service.
