Ashley Lemond Powers

Delco: Ashley Lemond Powers, 72 of Delco died Saturday, June 15, 2019 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center (Angel House) in Whiteville. He was the son of the late William Otto Powers and Pearl Anner Nobles.  He was a member of the Union Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.  He worked with International Paper as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for over 40 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife; Brenda Miller Powers of the home. Son; Timothy  Ashley Powers ( Kim) of Riegelwood,  N.C., Daughter; Melody  Powers Garrell (Jason) of Delco, N.C. Sisters;  Mary Hyatt ( Mike)  and Janice Chestnut ,both of Whiteville, N.C.  Six Grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday June 19, 2019 at  2:00 p.m. at the Union Grove PFWB  Church with Huston Miller, Jr. and Rev. Rodney Rose officiating with burial following in the Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at McKenzie Mortuary from 6-8 p.m.
