Obituary
Anne Powell Parker, age 95, of Lake Waccamaw, NC, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Liberty Commons Nursing Home. She was born on September 12, 1927, in Columbus County to the late Robert Quitman Powell and Minnie Ruth Wooten Powell. In addition to her parents, Anne is preceded in death by her husband; James Russell Parker, Sr., two sons; James Russell Parker, Jr and Lee Parker, and a sister; Sarah Powell Scott.
Anne worked as a legal secretary for many years.
She is survived by her son; Clyde Council Parker of Jacksonville, NC, and two sisters; Jean Powell Dozier of Loris, SC and Patsy Powell Farr of Columbia, SC.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at 2:00 pm in Powell Cemetery, Fair Bluff, NC with Rev. Stuart Link officiating.
McKenzie Mortuary, 112 Jefferson Street, Whiteville, NC is serving the Parker family.
